Emperor Chairs (Pair)

These chairs are known as Jiao Yi or "folding chairs. The curved horseshoe yoke and back splat back enhance the overall beauty and elegance of these chairs.  The back splat is carved with meaningful good luck Chinese symbols such as the lotus, dragon and fungi.  The seat base is made of a heavy woven hemp and the foot rests and back horseshoe yokes are embellished with decorative metal plates.
