Durbar "Narshing" Window

This architectural style is found in the Durbar palaces and squares of the three capital cities of Baktapur, Patan and Kathmandu Nepal.  The design incorporates dancers, dieties, peacocks birds, dragons... and was hand made in Patan using hundreds of small individually carved wood pieces.  Small doors in the center slide to open or close.  This piece was purchased during its construction and the doors were added at our request.
